DUSTCHEM is the analytical service provided by DustScan Ltd.
Directional dust characterisation is a speciality of the firm. DustScan has developed a range of methods for this in conjunction with industry and academic partners. Samples from DustScan directional dust gauges are analysed, typically at 15 degrees resolution, generally using ICP-MS. Optical microscopy, SEM-EDX and laser granulometry are used where appropriate. These methods are also applied to deposited dust and loose dust samples.
