The DustDisc is an innovative, low-cost dust settlement sampler. It comprises a horizontally mounted sticky pad, located inside a handling case that slides into a new sampling head complete with bird-strike guard. It can be used stand alone or in conjunction with our directional gauges to assess dust fall and dust flux simultaneously. When combined with our DS500 PM10 gauge, it can measure dust settlement, dust flux and gravimetric PM10 concentrations in one installation.

 

As a stand-alone gauge the DustDisc is very effective for monitoring at dust receptors, especially where dust issues are quite localised. When used in conjunction with the DS100 directional sampler, the combined unit is ideal for low-cost, comprehensive site boundary and compliance monitoring. 

 

DustScan is developing new sticky pads that will allow samples to be readily analysed further for dust mass, grading and mineralogy (as well as  chemistry, which we already provide).
